The Motor City, Motown, D-Town, Rock City. Detroit is known by many names, but now thanks to the much-anticipated renovation of Broderick Tower Detroit this city has only one name in my book – home.
Looking out the window of my studio I can see Comerica Park to the right, the PeopleMover to the left and the glow of Woodward Avenue ahead of me for miles. My name is Angela and I am one of Broderick Tower’s first residents. I’m going to be writing weekly posts about my experiences living and playing in downtown Detroit.
My Detroit life began Sunday with the help of a U-Haul and some very dependable family members and friends. The move-in experience was excellent – from the friendly and helpful staff to the BetterMade chips and salsa waiting on my counter.
The units are absolutely gorgeous. With their modern and stylish design, granite counter tops, glass showers, stainless steel appliances and spectacular views – these apartments rival the big city luxuriousness you’d expect to find in downtown New York or Chicago.
Work brought me to Detroit, but the vibrancy and excitement in the city led me to move here. I couldn’t think of a better place to call home than the historic, landmark building that is Broderick Tower. The buzz about Broderick is growing and for a good reason – the building is now 100 percent leased.
And while I’ve only been here a few days, my Detroit bucket list is quickly growing. If you are thinking about moving to Detroit, I hope you’ll find these posts helpful. And if you are already a Detroiter and have suggestions for things to see and do please leave them in the comments!
Welcome home Broderick residents!
