Next Friday, April 5, tens of thousands of fans will flock downtown for Detroit’s largest unofficial holiday — the sold out Detroit Tigers home opener at Comerica Park. With an unmatched view of the stadium, this is the day many Broderick Tower residents have been waiting for.
Tiger fans will welcome back our hometown boys as they take the field against the New York Yankees in what many consider to be the official start of spring. And after last year’s World Series run, you can bet both Tigers and Yankees fans are going to be riled up for this rematch.
If you weren’t able to get your hands on a ticket to the big game and aren’t willing to pay StubHub prices, you can trust there will be plenty of action in and around downtown Detroit for you to enjoy. Here are just a few Opening Day 2013 options to choose from:
- Broderick Tower: (for residents and guests). Broderick Tower will host an Opening Day celebration featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, beer and other snacks starting at 11 a.m., outside of the front entrance.
